The Beauty of False Glamor

The exhibition “The Beauty of False Glamor” is not an art exhibition about paintings and sculptures. It is an exhibition about the scam through art, the black market’s unscrupulousness, about the deception of not versed customers, that is, an exhibition about a specific form of crime. We want to contribute to raising citizens’ awareness about the forgeries when purchasing artwork of all kinds and to combat the black market.

We started collecting forgeries 10 years ago. Today, this sub-section of our Criminology Collection is made up of 70 exhibits, most of which refer to oil paintings and several sculptures.
